Danny Chayer Memorial Basketball Clinic

BE's CEO was instrumental in starting the Danny Chayer Clinic –hosted by the Timberwolves & Lynx Academy– in honor of his childhood friend, Danny.

This free basketball clinic – started in 2021– provides kids from any economic background, race, or gender the opportunity to gain a love of the game.

Business Essential’s very own CEO, Pete Soderling – wanted to honor his childhood friend, Danny Chayer, and support the community that Danny loved so much. In 2021, Soderling reached out to different teams in his community to gauge interest, and the Timberwolves got on board! Hosted by the Lynx and Timberwolves Basketball Academy, this annual free basketball clinic gives kids from all economic backgrounds the opportunity to learn to love the game. Danny’s legacy of compassion lives on.

“It’s the season of giving, and we were so excited to do a Rudolf themed tree at the 2022 Festival of Trees at the Fargodome. These vintage ornaments were collected by a Business Essential employee and paired with new ice & snow colored bulbs to bring that north pole vibe. Each tree is a sponsorship to support Fraser Ltd, and each decorated tree ends up with a family in need of one! We love it! Fraser People Ltd”

Trees were on display at the FARGODOME from November 11 – December 2, 2022, then delivered to families in need.
